It's your first album in like 11 years, "Still Kids."

How did it come about?

DONNIE: Well, first things first, they demanded it.

I mean, for a decade they've been like, all right, what's with the one song here and there?

We don't do EPs.

There are a lot of young New Kids fans and young Block Kids.

But a lot of our fans, you know, they like albums.

They want songs.

They want depth and their demands met up with our inspiration.

And in many ways were our inspiration.

And we began writing probably about a year and a half ago.

And it all came together magically over the last few- Magic.

Magic.

There's gonna be a lot of puns tonight.

Because you know, this album's been a long time coming.

We know this, we know this.

(audience cheering) We had to do it before you guys decided to run away.

It just would never... VALENTINE: They weren't going anywhere.

They weren't going anywhere.

Well, let's- let's talk about that, about some of the tracks.

It's loaded down with pop anthems.

We've got ballads, dance tracks and stuff.

I think you were saying that "Still Kids," is the most mature album you've ever done.

Have you guys reached maturity?

I don't know.

'cause I've been hanging with you guys for a while.

JOEY: We hope not.

We hope not, but... DONNIE: No, I would say in terms of maturity, look, we're still kids.

We're all still kids.

This whole band and this fandom have this magical relationship.

And one does not go without the other.

And this really is our license to feel like kids whenever we want.

And so many of our fans work so hard, they have challenging lives.

They go through ups and downs and- and now and again, they need to love themselves and take care of themselves.

And we're honored that they chose us to be their escape, to still feel like kids again.

And so, when I say mature album, it really means it's the most comfortable we've been making an album.

We were unapologetically New Kids on the Block, unapologetically writing songs that we wanted to- to make and- and songs for our fans, specifically for the love story that we share.

And, you know, it's when I say mature, it means that.

We're not trying to appease anyone, but we're just- we're just sharing this love and doing it in a unapologetic way.

How did it feel?

We were in Boston, it was an AM station.

So that was good.

I heard my song and I got back at my older brother.

We were little kids performing on a stage with Miller Light signs everywhere.

There was nobody in the audience.

There was David Knight, Jordan and John's brother was there.

That particular picture.

You could see him on the side of the stage.

JORDAN: Not a good job.

But we would literally stand on stage and ask people to come out of their apartments in the neighborhood.

And nobody came.

It might have been 'cause it was like Tuesday at 11AM, they were all working.

DONNIE: But you know, we dreamed of something like this and it's more than we ever could have imagined.

You all just are absolutely spectacular.

And hopefully by the time this relationship's over, every single one of us will share a dance like that and hugs and photos and moments.
