Scientists say the sightings are becoming more frequent
Just four miles off Asbury Park, whale watchers spotted the distinct fins and knobby head of a humpback whale gracefully gliding its massive 50-foot-long body through the water. Waters along New Jersey and New York have become such a large feeding ground for humpback whales that they’re staying longer and returning year after year.
